Originally Incorporated in 1987, family owned and operated Clark's Pools has established itself as the premier swimming pool company.

Quality control and customer satisfaction are the most important aspects to us in every pool that we build and service. We pride ourselves in the unsurpassed quality of our product. We maintain a loyal customer base; and the majority of our pool sales, service, and retail customers are a result of our customer's referrals.

Our Roots

Our company's roots began through the expansion efforts of Ed Clark. Ed opened the first Clark's Pools in Seaford, Delaware in 1977. Through a period of growth in the early 1980's Ed opened a location in Newark, Delaware. Matt Matthews, Ed's cousin, was the General Manager of that branch. After several years, Ed decided to pull his business out of the area. Matt purchased the business and continued to run the operation with the same name.

As business grew, so did the need for greater support. Matt and his wife, Brinda, brought in a partner to Clark's in 1991. Cary Pitman had worked several years as a summer employee while putting himself though college. Cary, Matt and Brinda continued to expand the operation and eventually moved the business to its current location in Bear, Delaware.

Finally, as the company continued to expand, the need for a Service Division became increasingly evident. The partners agreed to bring on Cary's brother, Paul Miller, as a partner to head up the Service Department in March of 2001. Paul's ten plus years in the pool industry were a perfect fit to start, and grow, this natural extension of the business.

As we approach the new pool season of 2011 , we can look back at where we have come from with a sense of pride. But, it is the future, where we are most excited. That is where we will have the opportunity to meet and exceed your expectations.
